A Christmas Wish

In Southeast Asia, the temperatures are dipping lower at night and yet many don't have warm sweaters or shoes to keep them warm. In the cold morning air, the poor only wear thin clothes and many of them have cracked skin due to the cold. James 2:14-17 says, "What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them?  Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food.  If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, ...

Giving Christmas Away

Many Canadian children are busy writing letters to Santa, letting him know exactly what it is that they want for Christmas.  As parents, we are rushing around to find the latest fad toys that will satisfy our children's desires. Christmas in Thailand looks a little different.  The parents and children at House of Blessing are preparing for several Christmas outreaches.  It is a time to share the Christmas story, enjoy games with children in the villages, sing praises to God and, yes, share gifts.  But the kids at HOB aren't counting down the days until they receive ...

Amber is ready to book her flight.

It was an amazing surprise for all of us! Amber's monthly support was just over 80%, but she was not free to book her flights until she was at 100%. And a few days ago she was given a one time gift that to bring her to the goal, and one by one our board members gave her a thumbs up! Praise the Lord!!! God Provides! Overwhelmed with gratitude!

THEY FASTED AND PRAYED FOR US! God placed a dream on Josh and Julie's heart for the House of Blessing, and God is unfolding it before their eyes. They know that if they can get into a self-sustaining model of living, they not only can provide valuable learning opportunities for the kids they rescue, but can be a greater blessing to the communities they are sharing the gospel in. The first step is to incorporate ‘House of Blessing’ as their own legal foundation in Thailand. This is underway now as I write to you. And then next steps will be the purchasing of ...

2015 GNI International Banquet a Success!

Praise God for an Amazing Banquet! We are deeply grateful for the gracious use of Ross Road Community Church, and the many hours of work and prayers our team and volunteers put in to make this fundraiser a resounding success.  We have heard from many that the food was delicious and that the whole evening was exciting to take in. From this blessing of funds raised, we raised more than two months of much needed support for our fast-growing ministry in the Philippines and were able to send the final amount needed to complete a church building ...

Great Hope for the New Year

With three partnerships solidified and God's provision on the increase for these partnerships, we have much to be thankful for.  We also envision doing much more in the future.   For now, we want to just take a moment to give thanks for how far God brought us in 2014. Judy and I have been blessed to see a number of personal supporters stay behind us, as well as several churches here in BC. We have been able to solidify partnerships with three quality outreaches: "Fourth Man Eagle Ministries" in the Philippines.  This ministry reaches impoverished ...

How God Led Us to Cross Over

In the late summer of 2011, having just begun our home assignment (MINA), we were in a retreat with other MB missionaries in Abbotsford.  We were all given a folded paper in which was a name of another missionary, and we were told not to peek to see who it was, but to pray for that person in faith and listen to what God may want to say to them through scripture, a visual picture, or a word of encouragement.   It was a great idea. That evening, when the group came back together, we began to share what God showed us for the person we had been praying for, which of ...
