Family of Blessing (Northern Thailand)
We are grateful for our partnership with J&A*, a godly Lahu-Thai couple serving in northern Chiang Mai province, Thailand. Through GNI Ministries support, J&A* provide quality foster care for growing number of at-risk hill-tribe children. These children came from remote hill-tribe villages, leaving most without access to education. Some have been orphaned. Others have parents who are heavily addicted to drugs, leaving them being raised by a grandparent or relative who cannot afford to look after them. As such, they become at risk of trafficking or drug addiction at an early age. Girls could be married off by the age of 12. Many such children (especially girls) have been lured away with promises of work in the cities only to find themselves trapped in sexual slavery. This short video shows how easily it can happen.
THE NEED
We remain committed to help the children in the Families of Blessing gain refuge, stay safe and get the care as needed. We also are committed to give them quality opportunities to grow in their faith relationships with Jesus. Please join us in support and prayer, as together with J&A* we counter human trafficking and help catalyze community transformation in Northern Thailand.
