Philippines Needs Prayers

Our partners in the Philippines have been busy sharing Christ and giving gifts and food.  Sadly, their friends have now lost everything except the clothes on their backs due to a flood caused by a typhoon!  Houses have been damaged by the flash flood.  Even those in the subdivision before our partners’ are evacuating.  Clothes that had been collected, originally not intended for this situation, are now God’s blessings for these people.  These people need health and hygiene items and God’s comfort.  Please pray for our partners as they minister to those in need.  Pray for provisions.

I’m reminded of the song, “Blessed be the Name of the Lord,” when it says, “Every blessing You pour out, I’ll turn back to praise.  When the darkness closes in, Lord, still I will say, ‘Blessed be the name of the Lord…’ You give and take away.  My heart will choose to say, ‘Lord blessed be Your name.'”

Fourth Man Eagle leader, Hannah, models this when, in the midst of all this heartache, she still proclaims, “God is still good!”  When all she has is not enough, she still praises God for what He has given.  She concludes with, “God is our strength! May we all find hope in situations like this. God is our hope.”
