Thank you for blessing our ministry with your gift!

More about the MIRACLE 26 “40 DAY CHALLENGE”

Why are we doing this? Our hope is to encourage everyone taking this challenge to develop new disciples of gratitude that can help change the world!

Help us reach a thousand others to take on the challenge!

We are deeply grateful to JESUS, and we thank Him for His faithful provision and care for our ministry all these years. Your support of our cause is changing lives among the poor and oppressed in Thailand and Myanmar.  Let’s take it further! We invite you to join us for 40 days by practicing three 3 disciplines to help build life changing habits that will bring you the greatest joy, peace, hope and endurance for your journey ahead.

THE 3 DAILY “DISCIPLINES OF GRATITUDE”

1. For 40 days, start each day by reading the Bible. Highlight descriptions of God’s nature and take notice of Jesus’ work throughout the scriptures. As you identify God’s characteristics, thank Him for who He is and what He’s done for you. Be intentional about writing down your gratitude and making time for this crucial part of your challenge.

2. For 40 days, take notice of how you are reflecting God’s character to others each day. When you display love, patience, kindness, gentleness, forgiveness, wisdom, understanding, discipline, discernment, joy, peace, empathy, or any characteristic of Jesus, thank God for these gifts. Before bed, think of at least three ways you reflected Jesus that day.

3. For 40 days, throughout each day, ask God to give you words that bless and encourage those around you. Try to see everyone the way God sees them. Make a point of sending a text, calling, or speaking out words that express your gratitude for as many people God shows you each day. Every single person  needs to know how treasured and loved they are!

FOR CHILDREN: We suggest you start with these GOALS AND ACTIVITIES for one week and then encourage them to keep it going.

MONDAY: THANKFUL GOAL Being thankful for who you were created  to be.

ACTIVITY: 1-Bring a piece of paper and a pen to each of your family members (that can write) and ask them to write out at least 3 things they love best about you. 2-Place that paper on your pillow, and when you go to bed have someone read them out to you.

TUESDAY: THANKFUL GOAL Being thankful for all the possessions you have.

ACTIVITY: 1-In your room choose five things you are really thankful for. 2-Tell someone in your family why you are so thankful for those 5 things.

WEDNESDAY: THANKFUL GOAL: Being thankful for the abilities you have to do things.

ACTIVITY: 1- Draw a picture of something you are really good at.  2- Before going to bed, tell your parents as many things as you know you’re able to do, and thank God for giving you those abilities.

THURSDAY: THANKFUL GOAL Being thankful for all 5 of your senses. Hearing, sight, smell, touch, taste.

ACTIVITY: 1-Imagine, (with your parent), living without one of your 5 senses, and decide which one would be the worst for you to live without.  2-Draw a picture of all the things you are enjoying because you have that certain ‘sense’ you’d have a hard time living without. Or write them out.

FRIDAY: THANKFUL GOAL Seeing the best in the people around you.

ACTIVITY: 1- Watch as many people around you and take notice of the nice things they do or say. 2- At the supper table tell each people around the table what you love most about them.

SATURDAY: THANKFUL GOAL Being thankful for the responsibilities and chores YOU have been entrusted with.

ACTIVITY: 1- Find as many little jobs and chores you can do to surprise your parents with, and do them really good.

SUNDAY: THANKFUL GOAL Being thankful that you can bring joy and encouragement to someone’s life.

ACTIVITY: 1- Draw a picture of all the people in your family, include aunties, uncles, grandparents, and cousins.  2- Add to your picture a symbol of what you appreciate and love about each of them.

Help us change the atmosphere in neighbourhoods, work places, schools, churches, homes and families.  Gratitude shows up in joy, encouraging and building up those around you, and giving that helping hand when you see a need.

Some Other Practical Ways You Can Express ‘Gratitude in Action’…

  • Speak words of appreciation and encouragement over the people you live with every day.

  • Write notes of gratitude to people who need to be encouraged.

  • Lend a hand to help a student with a project or to meet a real need of someone you know (e.g. mow their lawn).

  • Pray for someone over the phone or in person, even just to bless and thank God for them.

  • Choose to turn every disappointment and complaint into finding something to be thankful for.

Remember: Our goal is to find at least 1000 people in Canada and beyond who will raise a loud Hallelujah of praise, and that a spirit of Gratitude will echo through our country!  Let us know you are joining us today by giving us your name and clicking the link below!
