At the end of January the Good News International Ministries board of directors met in Wasa, BC, to evaluate our strategies for ministry. As we reviewed our mission, vision and values from five years ago, we were blessed to see all that the Lord has done through GNIM. Despite the pandemic and the civil war in Myanmar, our “Uncountable Grace” ministry has flourished. The children in our care remain safe and the gospel is going out into the opium-laced hills of Shan State. Our “Family of Blessing” ministry in Thailand has also helped a dozen children remain safe in the care of godly and caring leaders, J* & A*.
Our mission statement now is: “Gospel driven prevention of human trafficking in Southeast Asia.” This refines our ministry in several ways:
- Gospel driven: The life giving Good News of Jesus Christ remains core-central to all we do.
- Prevention of human trafficking: through the mandate we have in ministry, this will continue to grow as our key focus. As we continue to help develop ministry in the future, we intend to narrow down in this direction.
Keep praying! God is moving!
